PRIMARY CARE
Our focus is based on providing preventative medicine, helping address acute illnesses, diagnose and manage chronic diseases, and much, much more! Take a look at our comprehensive services!
Adult Immunizations
In the U.S., vaccines have greatly reduced or eliminated many infectious diseases that once routinely killed or harmed infants, children, and adults. However, the viruses and bacteria that cause these diseases still exist and you can still get these diseases if you aren’t vaccinated. Call us today and see how we can get you up-to-date on the latest vaccines.
Weight Loss Management
Let us equip you with a lifestyle approach to weight loss that can help you maintain a healthy weight for a lifetime.
Annual Wellness (Children & Adult
The annual wellness visit is a yearly appointment with your primary care provider (PCP) to create or update a personalized prevention plan. This plan may help prevent illness based on your current health and risk factors.
School & Sports Physicals
During the school physical, the provider will do a comprehensive check of your child's body. This usually includes recording weight and height, taking blood pressure and pulse readings, and checking lungs, heart, abdomen, as well as eyes, ears, skin, nose, mouth, teeth and throat.
Sports physicals help determine whether it's safe for you to participate in a certain sport. Most states actually require that kids and teens have a sports physical before they can start a new sport or begin a new competitive season. But even if a sports physical isn't required, doctors still highly recommend getting one.
Chronic Disease Management
An integrated care approach to managing illness which includes screenings, check-ups, monitoring and coordinating treatment, and patient education. It can improve your quality of life while reducing your health care costs if you have a chronic disease by preventing or minimizing the effects of a disease.
Women's Health
We take a focused approach on the treatment and diagnosis of diseases and conditions that affect a woman's physical and emotional well-being.
DOT Physicals & Drug Screenings
The Department of Transportation (DOT) requires commercial motor vehicle (CMV) operators to have the DOT physical exam to maintain their driver certification.
We provide drug testing for all reasons such as pre-employment, random, reasonable suspicion, post-accident, and return to duty.
Limited Procedures
Blount Rural Health Center can provide a limited range of out-patient procedures that include, but are not limited to: joint injections, abscess incision and drainage, mole/skin lesion removal, biopsy, and minor laceration repair.
